In a recent study, found the fact that cows have the ability to grow quickly in the antibodies that could potentially fight HIV.
The new Penilitian is a joint research team of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, Scripps Research Institute and United States Texas A&M University United States. Researchers from three institutions made a breakthrough a better alternative in the fight against HIV.
During this time, the antibodies used in the fight against HIV is considered less effective. One of the barriers are namely the person with HIV HAS proved not efficient in making antibodies to fight the virus. Only about 20% of people with HIV who can produce an antibody that is capable of maintaining a cell in the fight against the HIV virus. These antibodies are called bNAbs (Broadly Neutralizing Antibodies), namely antibodies that grow naturally in people with HIV.
Antibodies in the body findings and cows recently seems to brighten the way the medical world on the way against HIV. In this study, the research team was able to cultivate a potential for antibody against HIV. Although cows are not infected with HIV, but cows have the immune system that can produce a unique antibodies to fight off the HIV virus.
In his experiments, a team of four cows injected with HIV imunogen, and after that in the blood of a cow directly quickly bNAbs which is able to fight off HIV. Researchers then isolated the antibodies to cow and do more research. And as it turns out, the cow antibodies called NC-Cow 1 it has capability in the fight against the HIV virus.
Of course the findings in the body of the cow is a new breakthrough in the fight against the deadly virus of humans such as HIV. And through the penitian it also created a new hope for people with HIV to be able to recover again.
